Having  run  the  majority  of  the  Enduroman  Arch  to  Arc  route  already  I decided  last  weekend  to  do  the  last  section. To  make  the  run  worthwhile  I  started  about  ten  miles  back  from  where  I  finished  last  time  to  get  a  good  thirty  mile  run.

Having  had  a  slight  knee  problem  during  the  week  I  was  going  to  see  how  it  went  and  take  it  easy,  however  I  had  no  problems  with  it  during  the  run.

This  time  I  was  fairly  lucky  with  the  weather,  although  it  was  freezing  there  was  no  rain.  Myself  and  Jason  (on  bike)  set  out  at  a  reasonable  time  in  the  morning,  no  5am  starts  this  time  round  and  somehow  managed  to  complete  the  distance  in  just  over  4hrs.

After  getting  to  Dover  I  got  in  to  the  sea  for  a  quick  paddle,  it  was  just  as  good  as  having  an  ice  bath!

I  had  intended  on  having  a  swim  at  Norman's  Bay  near  Rosie  and  Jason's  place  on  the  sunday  but  weather  conditions  dictated  otherwise  so  we  went  for  a  walk  instead.

A  successful  training   weekend,  next  recce  will  be  the  cycle  route  from  Calais  to  Paris  at  some  point.

I  have  also  booked  in  to  do  the  Lanzarote  Ultra  in  April  which  is  organised  by  Enduroman  and  is  exactly  half  the  arch  to  arc  distance  which  will  be  a  good  test  of  how  I  should  cope  in  July,  here's  hoping  it  goes  well.

Next  race  is  the  Beacon's  Ultra,  a  45  mile  run  on  the  6th  December,  which  is  organised  by  Likey's.  It  is  the  first  time  this  race  has  been  held  and  has  been  full  up  for  a  while.  It  looks  set  to  be  a  good  race!
